INFINITE NORMAL BAKING !!

Hi guys ,

i'am trying to bake normal map

this is my steps ,

i created two versions of the same mesh (Hi poly and Low poly) and i did unwrapping for the Low p. mesh with creation of a new image for it , then i selected the Hi mesh first then the Low boly next (they have the same layer and the same exact position ) and i had choosing (selected to active) and (tangent) for the normal space ..

but i faced a strange problem that the baking is lasting forever with no spontaneous stopping ?!

can i find what is wrong ?

thanks ..

never tried it like that,

normaly i unwrap the high poly mesh, bake the normals and put the baked texture as a normal map back onto the low poly mesh

maybe this can shed some light on the procedure
